Donations for Donors is dedicated to the care of loved ones of organ donors.
The D4D program will be the first of its kind program dedicated to facilitating and offering donations to family and friends of organ donor's while their loved one is in transition from patient to donation.
Our goal is to set up a website site and app to accept and disperse monetary and gift card donations, hotel and airline points, restaurant and credit gift cards donations, AirBNB and VRBO accommodations and in kind donations from local businesses.
We will offer these services and donations to the families of organ donors in transition from patient to donation.
Our ultimate goal is to also offer a complete concierge service that will assist with travel arrangements and accommodations to loved ones who are bedside as they say their final goodbye.
We hope by doing this it would remove stress and burden that occurs during this time.
The gifts will be offered through the Donations for Donors program as part The AJ Project 501(c)3 mission to organ donation.

Why aren't Donations for donors programs available now?
To date, registered organ donors and their loved ones who consented to donation where strickly dealt with
through Organ donor Procurement Organizations (OPO's).
The asking for donation organization (OPO) is a federally funded organization.
Any gift to the families or an authorized signer could be construed as Quid Pro Quo which is illegal.
In other terms; a gift from an OPO looks like it is given to persuade someone to agree to organ donation.
The AJ Project's program Donation for Donors excludes the OPO as the facilitator and places the donated gifts directly to recipient only after the consent and paper work for organ donation has been completed. There is no financial need requirement for assistance. There is no completion of organ donation required for assistance. There is no other requirement other than sitting bedside while our person is prepared to give the gifts of life through either organ, eye or tissue donation.
